The Skyborne, also called shen'dorei ("hidden people"), are windswept elves descended from rebels who fled Eldre'Thalas after the War of the Ancients and found refuge in Skywall, where wind spirits anchored their island home, Zephras Isle, in the elemental plane. In Forever they face a crisis: their elemental benefactors have vanished, the pylons holding the isle together are failing, and the High Order, the Windshapers and the Al'Aketh vie for control.
