Blizzard launches WoW Forever at the same moment worldwide: Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST. That is 6:00 p.m. on the US East Coast, 11:00 p.m. in London and already Thursday morning in Sydney.

Forever is not sold separately: you play it with a World of Warcraft subscription or game time. The packs are optional: the Skyborne Heroic Pack adds the Skyborne race and early name reservation ($29.99 according to Wowhead), the Skyborne Epic Pack adds beta access and 30 days of game time, and the Warcraft Forever Collection is on sale through January 11, 2027. Their Invite-A-Friend codes give access without a subscription from November 4 through 11 (PST). More in the FAQ.
Blizzard has not announced pre-installation yet, nor the download size. We will add it here as soon as they do.

Launch day questions
What time does WoW Forever launch?
Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST, at the same moment worldwide. That is 6:00 p.m. EST in New York, 11:00 p.m. GMT in London, midnight in mainland Spain and 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in Sydney. Other zones are in the table above.
Will there be queues on launch day?
Blizzard has not said anything about queues or server capacity. The only official detail is that Forever has no realm list: you pick a ruleset (Normal, PvP or Roleplaying) and each one works as its own large ecosystem. If Blizzard shares more, we will add it.
What happens to reserved names?
From October 27 through November 3 (PST), any upgrade pack lets you create and customize up to three characters. Names are reserved first come, first served, and Blizzard warns that the one you want cannot be guaranteed. They have two parts (first and last name) and are unique per region. Blizzard has not shared anything else about them.
Can you pre-install WoW Forever?
Not known yet: Blizzard has not announced pre-installation or the client size.
Where can I check server status?
Blizzard has not said where Forever will show up, since it has no realms. Today World of Warcraft's official status lives on the realm status page, and outages and maintenance on Blizzard Support.
Do you need a subscription on launch day?
Yes: Forever requires a subscription or game time. The exception is the packs' Invite-A-Friend codes, which let you play from November 4 through 11 (PST) without one.
