    Book collecting necklace rewards nerfed to Uncommon quality

    Blizzard reduces the Friend of the Library rewards (10 books): the Erudite's Amulet and the Scholarly Pendant go from Rare to Uncommon with some stat changes. The 20-book ring drops from item level 40 to 35 but no longer has a class restriction.

  2. Fixed

    Skinning no longer group-wide in the latest WoW: Forever beta build

    In the new build each creature can only be skinned once before it disappears. For two weeks grouped players could skin it once per member, multiplying leather; it was a bug and Blizzard has fixed it.

  3. Confirmed bug

    Warrior updates in today's WoW: Forever beta build

    Warrior development notes in the October 1 build: crits now give 100% more Rage (was 75%), and a bug where Dual Wield Specialization granted hit to both hands, which skewed Blizzard's tests, is fixed.

    Ghost Wolf appearance is temporary until fixes are in

    Since the latest build the Shaman's Ghost Wolf form looks a much brighter blue than usual. Blizzard designer Aidan Moon confirms it is temporary and a fix is on the way.

    Stitches is currently neutral but will terrorize Duskwood again

    Since the latest build Stitches attacks nobody in Duskwood. Blizzard confirms it is a bug and he will go back to patrolling as usual.

    WoW: Forever Podcast Ep.2: Class Design

    The second episode of the official podcast, with Blizzard designers Josh Greenfield, Kris Zierhut and Aidan Moon and Sodapoppin as guest, on how the classes were redesigned for Forever. Blizzard also corrects that this week the beta only adds one new dungeon and one new battleground.

  7. Confirmed bug

    Aidan Moon confirms a Rage bug for dual-wielding Warriors

    Blizzard designer Aidan Moon confirmed a bug in dual-wield Warrior Rage that was skewing their tests. After the fix: +100% Rage on crits and +50% off-hand Rage from the Dual Wield Specialization talent.

  8. Statement

    New Wetlands dungeon on the WoW Forever beta this week, no Dalaran dungeon

    With the level 30 update, the beta opens the Excavation Site, the new Wetlands dungeon for levels 24-29, according to Josh Greenfield. The City of Dalaran dungeon is not in this week's build and will come in a later beta update.

    The Light initially damages Forsaken Paladins

    Fixed in the beta: in the class quest where the Forsaken Paladin learns Holy Light, every cast deals some damage to you (not enough to kill). Josh Greenfield explained it was always intended and was not working when the beta opened.

    World of Warcraft: Forever Class Deep Dives — Priest and Warrior

    The second set of class explanations. Priest: Fear Ward and Devouring Plague for every race at level 20 and Shadow Word: Death at 32. Warrior: Rage from damage taken ignores armor, Rage from damage dealt depends on weapon speed and crits give 75% more; Blizzard acknowledges Rage bugs.

    World of Warcraft: Forever Class Deep Dives — Hunter and Druid

    The first set of class explanations. Hunter: Aimed Shot baseline at level 20, traps in combat, pets that scale with the hunter's gear and a unique ability per family. Druid: potions and racials without leaving form, Revive at level 12 and new talents like Wild Growth and Berserk. Dual Specialization at level 40.

    Blizzard confirms the PvP crit nerf in WoW Forever is a bug

    Players noticed critical strikes doing less damage in PvP than in Classic. Blizzard says it is a bug, not an intended change, and it will be fixed in a future build.

    The WoW Forever AH is taking too large a deposit

    There is a bug in the beta auction house: the deposit it takes when you list an item is higher than it should be. If money seems to be missing, this may be why; it is worth holding off on cheap listings until it is fixed.

    Holly Longdale opens PAX Aus (9-11 October) and Clay Stone will give a deep dive into one of Forever's new dungeons. It streams on Twitch on 8 October at 6:00 p.m. PDT.

    Druid Cat Form quest bug fixed in WoW Forever

    The level 20 quest that grants Cat Form was stuck: the three relics in the den could not be looted. Josh Greenfield says it is now fixed.

    Blizzard will also go after gold buyers in WoW Forever

    Blizzard reminds players that buying gold for real money is banned and says it will increasingly act against buyers too: removing the gold and possibly closing accounts. It asks players not to accept gifts from strangers.

    Josh Greenfield teases a BRD-like mega dungeon for WoW Forever

    Asked for "a good BRD-like mega dungeon", Greenfield replied "hold our beer(s)". Wowhead thinks it is Blackmaw Hold, one of the max-level dungeons; Blizzard has not confirmed it.

    Skyborne of both factions can talk to each other in WoW Forever

    All Skyborne know Darnassian, so an Alliance and a Horde Skyborne can understand each other in chat. It is unclear whether this is intended or a bug from everyone starting in the same place.

    Blizzard explains in a video what WoW Forever is and how it differs from Classic and modern WoW

    The official video stresses that Forever replaces no other version: the focus is the leveling journey, with account-wide rewards and new dungeons, quests, zones and raids. The Riverglades are reached through a new fork in Redridge Mountains, and Mount Hyjal caps the journey with both raids.
