TRANSPARENCY

Sources and methodology

Where every fact on wow4ever comes from, how we separate confirmed from unconfirmed, and how much of the game we cover today.

How we work

Primary sources first. A fact is confirmed only when Blizzard published it (official site, blog, shop, press kit). If it comes from specialist press, the demo or Wowhead's calculator, it's unconfirmed and the page says so.

Every page cites its sources with links. We don't summarise from memory or forums: a claim without a source doesn't get published.

When sources disagree, we say so and go with the official one. When Blizzard corrects something (like Krol'dok Stronghold's level, from 40-55 to 40-45), we fix the page and the articles.

Our own words. Headline, summary and a link to the original story; we never copy other people's articles.

It keeps updating: with the beta (September 17 to October 21-22) many facts will move from unconfirmed to confirmed.
