DUEL TOURNAMENT

WoW Forever Duel Tournament: The Forever Open ($100,000)

On 17 and 18 October, 4,000 level 30 Horde players duel on the beta for $100,000. Dates, prizes, rules and where to watch; and during the tournament, right here, what you missed: who qualifies from each class, the finals matches and the moments worth watching.

What you missed

The tournament has not started yet. On 17 and 18 October, while it is played, this is where you will find:

  • Who qualifies from each class, as soon as the qualifiers end.
  • The finals bracket, match by match, with the score.
  • The moments worth watching, linked to the VOD at the exact minute.
  • Who wins each class and who takes the $50,000.
  • Everything folded and spoiler-free: results only show if you click to see them.

Watch the whole tournament, spoiler-free

When each day ends, the full broadcasts will be linked here so you can watch from the start. Our titles are neutral, with no result; mind the platform, which may show the original title or comments.

When and how it is played

  • 17 October, qualifiers. Open to everyone who registered. The organisers will publish the exact format at least a week before.
  • 18 October, finals. The top 4 of each class (36 players) go through, and every match is best of 5 duels.
  • The winner takes the title of Death's Duelist.
  • Every player has to stream their own duels (Twitch, YouTube or Kick) and keep the VOD for reviews.

The organisers have not published a start time yet (it runs on Pacific time). As soon as they do, it will be here in your time zone.

Prizes

$100,000 in total (it was announced at $50,000 and the pot was later doubled): $50,000 for the champion and the rest split evenly between the top player of each class, $5,555 per class.

  • Warrior$5,555
  • Paladin$5,555
  • Hunter$5,555
  • Rogue$5,555
  • Priest$5,555
  • Shaman$5,555
  • Mage$5,555
  • Warlock$5,555
  • Druid$5,555

If two players tie at the top of a class, they share its prize.

Who can play

  • A brand-new Horde character on the PvP ruleset, created on or after 27 September (11:00 PT).
  • Required surname: Foreverpvp.
  • Level 30, the current beta cap.
  • A 15 gold entry fee, and checking in on Raider.IO on the morning of the 17th.

  • Warriors open too, except against stealth classes.
  • Shamans may start with up to 4 totems down.
  • Banned before the duel: heal-over-time spells, hunter traps and the warlock demon sacrifice.
  • Duels start 20 yards apart after a 10-second countdown, with at most 1 minute between duels to heal and drink.
  • One talent build per stage (qualifiers and finals), submitted 24 hours before. Bags and talents may be inspected.
  • Consumables, Engineering items and Legacy points are allowed; only your own class buffs.

Banned

  • Magic Dust
  • Slumber Sand
  • Furbolg Medicine Pouch
  • Protection potions (Fire, Nature, Frost, Arcane, Holy and Shadow)
  • Campfire buffs
  • World buffs and holiday buffs
