WoW Forever Class Quests: Every One, Class by Class, with Quest Givers and Locations

Class quests are the ones only one class can pick up. In Classic they were how you got things the trainer didn't sell: the warrior's Defensive Stance, the paladin's resurrection, shaman totems, the hunter's pet, warlock demons or druid forms. WoW Forever keeps them and adds its own, mostly for the new race and class combinations. Here is every one in the data, class by class and by level, with who gives it and where.

In short

• There are 469 Classic class quests still in Questie's Forever data (up to level 52) and 116 new Forever ones.
• The levels where almost every class has something: 1 (the note that sends you to your trainer), 10, 20 and 30.
• The new Forever quests cluster around the Horde paladin (the undead), the Alliance shaman (the dwarf), the priest (its new racial spells) and the druid.
• "From level" is the minimum level to pick the quest up, not the quest's level.

How to read the tables

Each row is a quest (or several with the same name given by different people depending on your race). "Quest giver" has the NPC, the zone and the coordinates on that zone's map. The name links to its page when we have one.

Two limits worth knowing. One: "in Classic it teaches…" is what that chain did in Classic; Blizzard hasn't published what changes in each, so next to it we give what the beta client says about that spell. Two: for the new Forever quests we almost never know the quest giver, because neither the client nor Questie has it yet.

Warrior

The data has 72 Classic class quests still in Forever up to level 52 and 3 new Forever ones. How the class plays is in the warrior guide; talents and macros are on its page.

The ones not to skip:

• Level 10 — Path of Defense / A Warrior's Training / Muren Stormpike. In Classic it teaches Defensive Stance; in the beta client Defensive Stance is listed as a level 10 spell.
• Level 30 — The Islander / The Affray. In Classic it teaches Berserker Stance; in the beta client Berserker Stance is listed as a level 30 spell; done on Fray Island, off Ratchet.
• Level 30 — The Windwatcher / Cyclonian / Whirlwind Weapon. In Classic it lets you pick a blue weapon (the "Whirlwind weapon").

Paladin

• Level 12 — The Tome of Divinity / Tome of Divinity. In Classic it teaches Redemption; in the beta client Redemption has no trainer level, so you can't simply buy it; the paladin's resurrection.
• Level 20 — The Tome of Valor / The Test of Righteousness. In Classic it ends with Verigan's Fist, a two-handed mace.
• Level 40 — The Tome of Nobility. In Classic it leads to the warhorse, the class mount.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get Defensive Stance in WoW Forever?

In Classic, from the warrior's level 10 class quest: on the Horde it starts with Path of Defense, given by Uzzek, The Barrens (61.4, 21.1); on the Alliance, with A Warrior's Training, given by Lyria Du Lac, Elwynn Forest (41.1, 65.8) (dwarves, gnomes and night elves have their own, in the table). In the beta client Defensive Stance is listed as a level 10 spell, and those quests are still in Forever's data.

Where is the level 30 warrior quest?

It starts with The Islander: it sends you to Fray Island, off Ratchet, where the trial takes place. In Classic it teaches Berserker Stance; in the beta client that spell is level 30.

What is the level 30 paladin quest, and the shaman one?

From Classic, the Horde shaman has Call of Air at level 30, given by Searn Firewarder, Orgrimmar (38.0, 37.7). The Alliance paladin has no level 30 class quest in the Classic data (theirs are at 12, 20 and 40). The Horde paladin's level 20-26 quests and the Alliance shaman's are new in Forever and are in their tables; those have no NPC on record yet.

How does the paladin learn to resurrect?

In Classic, from the level 12 chain The Tome of Divinity, which teaches Redemption. In the beta client Redemption has no trainer level, which fits it still coming from a quest. The Horde's undead paladin has a new chain of its own at level 12 (A Lesson in Divinity).

Do you have to do class quests?

The ones that give an ability, yes: without them you're missing part of the class. The ones that only give gear are optional, but at their level they usually beat regular quest rewards.

What isn't known

• Who gives, and where you turn in, almost all the new Forever class quests.
• What each Classic quest rewards in Forever: Questie has no rewards and Blizzard hasn't said what changed.
• Any level 40+ class quests Forever may add: the beta stops at level 30.
