Whimsyfin is a new fish in WoW Forever, and it comes with a recipe: Savory Whimsyfin Delight. Eating it transforms you for one hour. It is the same kind of joke Classic had with the Deviate Fish, but with its own recipe.

What it does
The Delight. The tooltip says "Eat me." Eating it gives you an effect that reads "You feel funny" and transforms you for 1 hour. What you turn into is not in the client: the spell leaves that value blank and the server fills it in. When we see it in game, we will add it here.
The raw fish. Eating Whimsyfin uncooked uses the same spell as Classic's Deviate Fish, with the same "Eat me." In Classic that fish gave a random effect. What it gives in Forever is not in the client either.
Where to get the recipe
According to Wowhead's Forever database, Recipe: Savory Whimsyfin Delight drops from the Great Goretusk, the boar in Westfall (levels 16-17).
It is very rare: Wowhead has it recorded 2 times out of 161,360 of those boars. If you go for it, treat it as a lucky drop, not a grind.
Learning it needs Cooking 85.
Where to fish it
Not known yet, with data. The client does not say where anything is fished, and Wowhead's database has no fishing zone recorded for Whimsyfin. Some players mention spots in comments, but we do not use them as a source because we cannot check them. As soon as the database records it, we will add it here.
