The Cozy Sleeping Bag returns to WoW Forever from Season of Discovery. Place it, lie down in it and you earn 1% more experience for every minute lying down, up to 3%, for one hour. You also become rested while you are inside. For a leveling character it is one of the first things worth going out of your way for.
No NPC gives it: it is a six-step chain with no quest giver, where you click on remains, mounds of dirt and bags another traveler left along the way. You can start it from level 14.

A Wowhead news post also mentions a 12-slot bag at the end of the chain. The guide does not name it and we could not confirm it: if there is one, do not count on it until you see it.
The chain, step by step
1. "... and that note you found"
- Alliance: starts in Westfall, at Alexston Farmstead (37, 50): the burned-out remains of a cart. It is turned in in the Barrens, at a burned tower south of Camp Taurajo (46, 74).
- Horde: the same quest the other way round. It starts at the tower in the Barrens (46, 74) and is turned in at the farmstead in Westfall (37, 50).
2. "Stepping Stones"
Accepted when you turn in step 1. It takes you to Stonetalon Mountains (40.6, 52.4), to some Pocket Litter on the ground.
There is an optional quest in between, "Rekindle": the previous one gives you the kindling and the flint.
3. "Scramble"
Still in Stonetalon Mountains (39.6, 49.8): a Mound of Dirt.
4. "Wet Job"
To Loch Modan, at Stonewrought Dam (49.4, 12.9): an Eagle Figurine on the carved heads that face the Wetlands. If you play Horde, this is Alliance territory: be careful.
5. "Eagle's Fist"
To Thoradin's Wall, between Hillsbrad Foothills and the Arathi Highlands (87.3, 49.6): a Messenger Bag.
6. "This Must Be The Place"
The last step takes you to a Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel. The sleeping bag is inside. Wowhead's guide marks the exact spot on its map.
Frequently asked questions
What level can you do the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain at?
From level 14. The steps cross higher-level zones (Stonetalon, Thoradin's Wall), but they are objects on the ground, not kill quests.
How much experience does the Cozy Sleeping Bag give?
1% more for every minute lying down, up to 3%, for one hour. Three minutes inside gets you to the maximum.
Can the Horde do it?
Yes. The first step runs the other way (from the Barrens to Westfall) and the rest is the same route. The Loch Modan step is in Alliance territory.
Do you need to talk to an NPC?
No. The whole chain is done by clicking objects in the world: remains, mounds of dirt and bags.
Is it the same as in Season of Discovery?
The idea is: the same item returns, with the same trail of clues across the world. The numbers are Forever's: 1% per minute, up to 3%, for one hour.
